This Privacy Policy explains how Safinah Mawadda ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, stores, and shares data when you use Love Wallet: Couple Money Battle (the "App").
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Data We Process
Depending on how you use the App, we may process the following data:
1. Profile and couple preference data
Your name, your partner's name, couple nickname, relationship status, anniversary date, currency, monthly budget, couple mode, and payday date.
2. Financial and activity data you enter
Expense records, income records, categories, payment methods, amounts, notes, dates, partner reactions, savings goals, wishlist items, daily check-ins, challenge progress, and reminder preferences.
3. App settings data
Privacy settings, hidden categories, app theme, local device owner setting, and the privacy PIN you create inside the App.
4. Cloud sync data
If you enable partner sync, the App uses Firebase to create an anonymous identity and store sync-related data such as an anonymous ID, couple code, member status, sync timestamps, shared premium status, and copies of app data needed to sync across devices.
5. Purchase data
If you buy premium features, Google Play may process transaction data and product ownership status to complete purchases, restore purchases, verify ownership, and manage premium access.
2. Data We Do Not Directly Request
Based on the current implementation of the App, we do not directly request access to:
- location
- contacts
- camera
- microphone
- photos or personal files outside the data you manually enter into the App
3. How We Use Data
We use data to:
- provide budgeting, expense tracking, and couple features inside the App
- save your settings and records on your device
- sync data across devices when couple sync is enabled
- provide, restore, and manage premium access
- maintain service stability, security, and integrity
- respond to support, privacy, or deletion requests
4. Where Data Is Stored
Data may be stored:
- on your device through the App's local storage
- in the cloud through Firebase/Cloud Firestore when you enable partner sync
- through Google Play services for premium purchase processing
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data.
We only share data as needed to operate the App, including with:
- Google Firebase, for anonymous authentication and cloud sync
- Google Play, for premium purchases, verification, and restoration
- legal or regulatory authorities when required by applicable law
6. Important Note About Sensitive Data
The App allows you to manually enter financial information. Please do not enter highly sensitive information such as passwords, bank PINs, one-time passwords, or payment card numbers into note fields or other free-text fields.
If you use the privacy PIN feature, that PIN is stored as part of the App's settings. If partner sync is enabled, some settings may also be synced to keep the experience consistent across devices. For that reason, you should not use the same PIN as your device PIN, bank PIN, or any other important credential.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to help protect your data. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Data Retention
We keep data for as long as needed to provide App functionality, unless a longer or shorter period is required by law.
In general:
- local data remains on your device until you clear app data or uninstall the App
- cloud sync data may remain stored while sync features are in use and/or until it is deleted following a valid deletion request
- purchase-related data may be retained by Google Play under its own policies
Disconnecting a couple room on a device does not necessarily mean all cloud copies are immediately deleted automatically.
9. Your Rights
Depending on the laws that apply to you, you may have the right to:
- request access to certain data
- request correction of certain data
- request deletion of certain data
- stop using cloud sync features at any time

10. Children's Privacy

Your use of those services may also be subject to the terms and privacy policies of those providers.
